Join Addventageous accredited cycling instructors for basic bike control skills for beginners and ladies wishing to get back on a bike. Build your skills and confidence to be a safer rider Cycling By The River. Free bike hire is available for this session.

Meet Barry Wilde Bridge Fountain: River Foreshore Playground between 9am-11am

For first timers; it’s never too late! Instructors are available to go through basic skills to balance and glide on a bike before starting on pedals.

Back on the bike; Ladies wishing to regain confidence Instructors will demonstrate basic bike handling and control with skills for cornering and braking

How To; bike safety check, fitting a helmet and changing a punctured tyre.

What you need to know

  • Beginners welcome
  • Townie “Comfort” bikes available with helmets
  • All cyclists must wear a correctly fitted helmet
  • Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult
  • Participants should have their bike in good working order
  • Bring a water bottle
  • Guided by Addventageous accredited cycling Instructor/Ride Leader
