About the event
Our knowledgeable instructors will teach you about the different parts of a bike, including the chain, gears, brakes, and wheels. You'll also learn how to troubleshoot and fix common bike issues like flat tires and loose chains.
You'll get hands-on experience practicing basic maintenance tasks like cleaning your bike, lubricating the chain, and checking tire pressure. We'll provide a few bikes for you to work on and encourage you to work in pairs, so you can help each other and learn from one another.
In addition to the maintenance skills, we'll also cover bike safety rules, such as wearing helmets and using lights at night. Plus, we'll end the workshop with a fun creative activity where you can decorate your bike with stickers, markers, or streamers.
This workshop is perfect for youth aged 12-18 who want to learn more about bike maintenance and have some fun during the school holidays. No prior experience is necessary, and all skill levels are welcome.
