Service Description

Join our special guided active transport ride from Carlingford Light Rail to Boronia Park, Epping for Lunar New Year celebrations. This ride is designed to support mode shift—helping adults build real-world confidence riding in a low-traffic road environment, navigating shared-path connections, and practicing everyday skills you can use for commuting and local trips. We’ll ride together to the event, park and supervise bikes while you enjoy the festival atmosphere, then regroup for a guided return ride back to Carlingford Light Rail. Event highlight: Lunar New Year: Epping (Boronia Park) — FREE entry, 4–9pm. Schedule 5:15pm – Meet at Carlingford Light Rail (welcome + quick safety check) 5:30pm – Roll out (guided group ride) ~6:30pm – Arrive Boronia Park, bikes parked + supervised 7:30pm – Return guided ride departs 8:30pm – Arrive back at Carlingford Light Rail Who it’s for Adults 18+ Riders who want a supportive group setting to build confidence riding at dusk/night Anyone keen to replace a short car trip with a practical active transport experience What’s included Experienced ride leader support Confidence coaching: positioning, scanning, signaling, speed management, shared-path etiquette Group navigation between key path/road connections Supervised bike parking while at the event Requirements (please read) Helmet (mandatory) Working front + rear lights (MUST HAVE) Roadworthy bike (brakes + tyres in good condition) Closed shoes + water bottle Notes This is a guided ride with a steady pace and regroup points.
