Our Living River Adults Fish Ladder Ride

Service Description

Our Living River rides are back for 2026—starting with our favourite meet-up at Parramatta Ferry Wharf. Join a guided, beginner-friendly ride along the Parramatta River and explore what a fish ladder is (and why it matters). Fish ladders help fish move past weirs and continue their journey upstream—supporting healthier river ecosystems. Adults 18+ Sunset and Flying Fox Ride (6:30 pm) An evening ride chasing sunsets and watching flying foxes head out for the night. We’ll ride into the grounds of Cumberland Hospital to the furthest weir along the river, stopping at three fish ladders to learn how they work and what they tell us about river health. What to bring: helmet, a working bike, water, and lights for the evening ride (A MUST). Who it’s for: everyday riders, curious locals, nature lovers, and anyone wanting to learn more about the river—on two wheels.
